Este es un Vals Venezolano para Guitarra Clásica que escribí hace tiempo y dediqué a mi gran amiga Kathleen Flores quien ha sido como una hermana que me regaló la vida durante mis años de estudiante en Europa y quien además CATAPULTÓ mi carrera como músico y la de muchos otros artistas con su gran apoyo. Dios la bendiga!
Así que de ahí el nombre Kathapulta (de ese juego de palabras). La estructura de este vals, su estilo armónico, su melodía cantable y su ritmo sincopado lo distinguen bastante de los valses tradicionales venezolanos de la escuela de la guitarra clásica. Espero que lo disfruten!
This is a Venezuelan Vals for Classical Guitar that I wrote some time ago and dedicated my great friend Kathleen Flores who has been like a sister who gave me life during my student years in Europe and who also CATAPULATED my career as a musician and the one of Many other artists with your great support. God bless her!
So hence the name Kathapulta (from that play on words). The structure of this waltz, its harmonic style, its singable melody and its syncopated rhythm distinguish it from the traditional Venezuelan waltzes of the classical guitar school. I hope you enjoy!
