Create a Lifestyle You Can be Proud of in 2018 With What Everybody Ought to Know About Setting Great Achievable Goals

Today I will be sharing with you some tips about successfully setting up your goals in 2018. Today is now 01 February 2018 and in mathematical terms that means 1/12 of 12/12 has been subtracted and you are only left with 11/12. Ok I know most people do not like Mathematics but what I am trying to say is January 2018 is over and you are now only left with the other eleven months.

For all successful people it is well known that setting goals is an important step to succeed in your endeavors. I know you are reading this because you want to be successful. I think you have also been told before about writing your goals by other inspirational writers. Most people know that writing goals is important but few take their time to write them. I am sure every business succeeds because they set goals in form of Business Plans, Mission Statements, Vision Statements and their Values.

Today I will share with you some secrets I have learnt about setting goals and ways to make you achieve them!!!

I have been learning the tips I am going to share with you for 4 years through books, audios and videos by great motivational writers and speakers. The reason why setting goals is so important is that they create a commitment from your part . The reason why 10% of people on this planet own about 90% of the wealth is because they take time to write their goals for they know goals create a road-map for them to succeed.So if you still want to succeed this year you can follow the following steps:

Tip 1: You have to write your goals somewhere

This is the first step when writing your goals. I am sure you will need a pen and paper to do this or something equivalent like a chart maybe. You may write them on small cards that you carry in your pocket also when you want. But I usually recommend you write on a paper or a chart which you will stick on the wall in your room/home.

  • Charts/Paper/Frame - to be put on your mirror or room wall - the purpose is for you to be able to see your goals on a daily basis. Bob Proctor a success author in an audio called The ABCs of Success once said he once sticked a paper(written the amount of money he wanted to attain by he end of that year) on his ceiling above his bed. Everyday he would wake up and the first thing he would see was $US100 000 or so amount. It was during his first year of writing goals. Having been a low rank official who earned less than $US5 000 per year he found himself with around $US90 000 that year. Although he did not achieve the $100 000 he had moved beyond the unimaginable and according to him his life was never he same again.He now teaches men and women how to achieve the best results in life.
  • Writing them with Ms Word and printing them in bold text - I also recommend you type your goals and print them in the font that you can see. I am sure that what you see sticks in your mind everyday. If you don't believe it ask yourself why companies pay millions of dollars to advertise on billboards that does not even make sense to the common man?I remember watching a movie called Focus(2015) when Nicky (Will Smith) tells Jess (Margot Robbie) of how they programmed a certain man's mind to choose the number he had to choose when they were gambling.Whilst the Movie is obviously fiction what I am trying to portray is that written words you see everyday will influence you especially when they are coming deeply from within your heart.
  • Writing on cards you walk with - Yes you might do it as an addition to the above but not as the only solution. If you only use cards its most likely that one day you will lose them or that they will get destroyed mistakenly when you wash your outfit. I do not recommend you depend on cards only.Also its most likely that you wont see them 365 days of the year for you will forget unless you are a machine.

  • Writing your goals in a Book or Diary - I do not recommend this again. This is the most common way people write their goals but as you know most won't even open the page with their goals even once per month. If you write your goals there I am sure you may forget them. So the best is to write the goals and put the paper on your mirror where you see daily. Goals should be seen daily so that you meditate on them both consciously and unconsciously. As the Law of Attraction says : WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.
  • Writing them in your phone/tablet/Ms Word file Some would do this but this is not wise like writing in a diary.Unless your goals are put where you can see them every day that is when you will achieve them.So do not put your goals where you will forget them for some months. There is a reason why companies put their Mottos, Mission Statements and Values where everyone(employers, employees and customers) can see everyday.

Tip 2 : Write your goals positively not the way you do not want

You want your subconscious mind to get where you want always. I am sure you once heard the saying ''beware what you wish''.You do not want to wish bad goals for yourself unconsciously.

I do not want to be poor this yearI am becoming more and more rich everyday of my life
I do not want bad friends in 2018Everyday in every way I am growing and connecting a with great inspiring people
I hate dealing with boring people in 2018By 31 December 2018 I would have meet and made connections with 20 good business people

The reason why our goals are written is for our mind to know the way and to visualize our dreams.This is because as a man thinketh, so is he.So you have to watch-out for this. We also want your mind to keep thinking of what you want.

Tip 3 : Write your goals in more and more detail

Saying ''I am going to be rich this year'' is less powerful than ''On 31 December 2018 I would have earned money worth $US1 000 000 through my Steemit account,my 'How to make money blog' and through my fish farming business at home''

So the more detailed your goals are the more likely you will achieve them since your mind will get the clear picture of the destination of where you want to go. Short statements like ''I will make more money'' may work but are less powerful than those that are specific. You have to think big to be big.

Tip 4 : Write the specific due date

If you write ''this year I will be rich'' you may find out that you never become rich this year(2018).Your mind will enter 2019, 2020, 2021 etc with the same belief that ''this year I will be rich''.If you give yourself a due date its most likely that you will take the action and succeed. Have you ever seen when students know that their assignment are due tomorrow? If you study them you will see them acting quickly and purposeful unless they are bad students-but still deep inside them they feel they need to do something.What I am trying to say is if you give your mind a due date to achieve your goals you will achieve them quickly.Here is an example:

By 31 July 2018 my Steemit account would be worth US$100 000 and my voting power would be $100 SBD at 5% upvote

See here I have given a deadline. Deadlines make you think of working more and more hard and elicits feelings of persistance and determination on your part.

Tip 5 : Visualize your goals exactly as you want them to be with the Abundance Mindset

This is related to Tip 3. Most people I know are lazy to think deeply of what they want but still want the easy life. Just 20 minutes of thinking deeply of what you want can have a positive impact your life big time. See yourself living the life of your dreams the way you like it and write it in detail. You have to feel and see it inside you to know what success means to you and when you achieve that I am sure you will succeed as well.

Tip 6 : Know the difference between short-term goals and long-term goals

Yes you have to categorize your goals between long-term and short-term goals:

  • Short-term goals - Are those goals you want to achieve within 12 months(1 year).These maybe passing your final exams, buying your parents some gifts and maybe surprising your partner on the 14th of February.Its also great to set daily goals, monthly goals and weekly goals.

  • Long-term Goals - Are usually beyond one year and its common to feel pain inside when you do not achieve them. Examples maybe planning to be rich at 30 or saving for your retirement by the age of 50.You can say by 31 January 2020 I would have....

Tip 7 : Put your goals where you see them daily

This maybe on the mirror you check yourself daily, the wall you face whenever you wake up or wherever you want as long as you see that spot daily whether consciously or when unaware.This will make your goals achievable and I think is the step that differentiates goal-achievers and non-achievers. Taking this crucial step I think will make you your best self. Its like the difference between students that get As and Bs versus those that get Es, and Us at Ordinary Level. Most people may not display their goals because they fear others may judge them or laugh them. Until you know what you want and how to get it you will never achieve anything great in life.

Tip 8 : Your goals must inspire you and give you tingles inside when you revisit them day after day

You must be inspired with your goals all the times.You will feel butterflies in your stomach and tingling sensations inside whenever you revisit your goals. Passion must rise inside you and when it rises whenever you revisit them then you are sure to achieve your targets.You must be like a musician who connect deeply with her music whenever she sings.

Tip 9 :Do your research and write your own goals yourself

Since we are humans beings we are all unique. If you want to be a billionaire there is no reason why you would like to adopt Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos' goals when they started.You only need your passions only because whilst its good to model heroes you might be going against your values which might confuse you resulting in unhappiness. When it comes to your goals you do not need you Personal Assistant to help you.

Tip 10 : Take small steps daily to achieve your goals.

Most think that for them to be great it will just be a one day thing.It cannot be like that. There is need for you to take some baby steps when an opportunity comes. Life is not like a Hollywood Movie where everything is achievable quickly. This is the reason why it is encouraged to write in detail so that you will be able to know what you really want.

Tip 11 : Review and rewrite your goals with time

As you go through life you will start to see that your reality may start to change with each achievement and when breaking off your limitations. Rewriting your goals will make you discover more and more areas you want to change. Change is great in life and is one of the things we look for. You have to review them frequently and update them when appropriate.

Tip 12 : Share your goals with your family and friends

I am sure you once heard that words come to life.Yes words you say out loudly are more likely to happen. However most people usually talk bad things about themselves and others which results in more and more doom instead of boom. Great businessmen usual start to make money when they explain what their products/services are all about. Whatever you will say to people (goals) you will make a commitment to achieve it. But please do not be doubtful, boisterous,egoistic and or overconfident but be assertive. I hope you get me.

Tip 13 : Practice writing daily goals, weekly goals and monthly goals

If you want to achieve more you also have to start small as said before. Whenever you wake up early in the morning start writing all you want to achieve that day.Write everything even the chores you will do and the books you will read. When you can manage daily and weekly goals(and achieve them) then I am sure everything is possible for you and you are near your success.

Tip 14 : Get applications that reminds you of your goals everyday

Tip 15 : Listen more to Goal Getting Audio programs and Inspirational music.

This will accelerate you more and more to achieve your goals.I hope you get good music that will inspire you at a deeper level.
