The loneliness of a long distance runner

I met this runner while I was taking some pictures up the hills. It was, obviously as you can see in the picture, cold and foggy. He was in full running gear and made the whole hill run, very steep inclination. And the road was empty with the heavy fog projecting silhouettes of trees and houses.

That made me think about the loneliness, in a way, that a long distance runner endures in his runs.
