Once you cracked those eggs, there is no turning back...

Life works in mysterious ways, and we never know what to expect. Life takes some weird turns, and sometimes there are things that we do, or possibly not do that we regret for a lifetime. 

I watched an old episode of  Ellen Degeneres show this week, and one of the guests was Magic Johnson.  (Magic Johnson is a well known retired basketball player. ) When Ellen asked him if there was anything that he regretted in his life, he answered immediately. 

When he started playing basketball, there were many sponsors that sponsored well-known athletes.  One of the sponsors was Nike. This was during the time that the Nike company started and they couldn't offer him money, but wanted to give him some shares in the company.  He didn't accept, because he didn't understand what it meant to have shares in a company.  

Up to this day, he can kick himself for not accepting that sponsorship.        

I am sure that there's something in your life that you regret. Nobody is perfect, and we have all done things that we are not proud of, but life goes on, and what's done is done and what's gone is gone.  

We can never get back what we lost. Whatever we did in the past, we need to learn to live with it or sometimes without it. Unfortunately, many people have great difficulty in moving on.  They are so stuck in the past that they forget to live.  

They constantly look back to what was...and forget about what is...

I have a friend. We've known each other for nearly six years now.  She comes from a very rich family and growing up, never had any issues with money. When her father died, she inherited three farms and many cattle.  

One business deal went wrong, and she lost everything.  

She is not the first person that this happened to, and she will certainly not be the last.  There are many well known rich people that lost everything, but they were able to build themselves up to richness again because they did not get stuck in a rut.   

My friend is stuck.  She still has a house, car, and everything that she needs to survive, but she doesn't have that extra to live in luxury anymore.  

During the last six months, she has tried to commit suicide three times.   

Many of us have gone through difficult times.  The most difficult time in my life was when I went through a divorce.  I literally thought my world was going to end... I really struggled.... but I survived.

To everyone who might be going through a very difficult time, I can promise you that there is light at the end of the tunnel.  There is a silver lining around a cloud, and there is a future. 

BUT

First, you need to accept that you can't be stuck in the past forever.  It's not a bad thing to think about your past, as these are memories, and will always be part of your life.  But you should learn that whatever happened in the past, should stay in the past. You can't move forward if you are stuck.  

Learn from mistakes...and try to do better.....

Look forward, go straight ahead and find some new goals to achieve.  You can't be successful with any new venture if you still live in the past. 

Life is hard. If anyone told you differently, they lied to you.
