Looking back, there were a lot of things that were truly wasted. I blame capitalism. The human need to want every new thing that comes out springs directly from the mentality imbued upon us by capitalism. Once we grow tired of the old stuff we buy new ones. If only sustainability had been a practice that was continued. With a renewed sense of it, I hope that the future generations won't suffer through the vast amounts of waste that we did.
