Obsoleteness III - Toys

From our childhood on we have been imbued with messages, from those who loved us and raised us, from our formal teachers, and from the media. The fairy tales, stories, songs cartoons, children movies telling us stories with the carefully crafted messages to capture our hearts and minds to resonate within our souls for a lifetime and possibly to be passed on to the offspring. Peaceful, kind, and caring messages help form peaceful people. We resonate with them and create what we have been taught to believe in. When those messages get interrupted, conflicted or ridiculed, we get something akin to the plants getting an herbicide, sort of a poison. The toys we used, if we have had a childhood, become obsolete, first reused and then many become waste. If we have been imbued with the idea that we should resemble Barbie or Ken, or any other figure from the childhood that become a beloved additional role model next to our most loved ones, we will resonate with the image and the messages those figures etched in us. Taking this away could be akin to taking a very addictive drug away and sometimes causes severe reactions – we don’t want to lose what is precious to us. If we have been imbued with the messages that cyborgs and robots are much better than humans then maybe we will follow and resonate with this message later on in our adulthood. If we grew up with the message that the true nature is much too fragile and won’t endure the modified weather then we might lose the true nature altogether – ours and of others. Will the true nature become obsolete then?
