“TACHYCARDIA” [ENG/ITA]

A few years ago I partecipated in a sweepstakes called
“We give color to the rhythm of the heart”. Iniziative desired and supported by Lions Club of San Miniato, by Waste Recycling Spa with its project Scart® and by Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in collaboration with Cardiology operating Unit, of the New Santa Chiara Hospital in Pisa.

Alcuni anni fa ho partecipato ad un concorso a premi chiamato
“Diamo colore al ritmo del cuore”. Iniziativa voluta e sostenuta dal Lions Club di San Miniato, da Waste Recycling Spa con il suo progetto Scart® e dall’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in collaborazione con l’Unità operativa di Cardiologia, del Nuovo Ospedale Santa Chiara di Pisa.

As a goal, beautify and set up with artwork the whole department, so all the artwork were destined to remain permanently. All the work had to be done with waste materials.

Come obiettivo, abbellire e allestire con opere d’arte l’intero reparto, quindi tutte le opere erano destinare a rimanere in modo permanente. Tutte le opere dovevano essere eseguite con materiali di scarto.

I called this work “Tachycardia” perhaps because in that period I suffered from this disorder.
I took a wooden frame where I put a wire mesh. So I woven all the materials that I usually use for realized my works, as skin wires, electric wires, cans, caps, plastic wires, plastic pieces found around. For the heart, the dominant color had to be the red.

Ho chiamato questo lavoro “Tachicardia” forse perchè in quel periodo soffrivo di questo disturbo.
Ho preso un telaio dove ho montato una rete metallica. Quindi vi ho intrecciato tutti i materiali che uso generalmente per realizzare le mie opere, come fili di pelle, fili elettrici, lattine, tappi, fili di plastica, pezzi di plastica trovati in giro. Trattandosi del cuore, il colore dominante doveva essere il rosso.

From a junk dealer I found a plastic tend, one of those to put on doors in the summer. It was all broken, made of colored plastic drops, I attached some pieces on the work as if, it were dripping blood.
Now also this work it is situated inside this department. I’m very happy to have made a contribution for to make it more confortable an environment like thehospital one.

Da un rigattiere ho trovato una tenda di plastica, di quelle che si mettono d’estate sulle porte. Era tutta rotta, fatta di gocce di plastica colorate, ne ho attaccati alcuni pezzi sul lavoro come fosse sangue grondande.
Ora anche questo lavoro si trova all’interno di questo reparto. Sono molto contenta di aver dato un contributo per rendere più confortevole un ambiente come quello ospedaliero.
