THE COMMON THREAD - FILO CONDUTTORE [ENG/ITA]

With these small citations, we can andestand the fondumental role that the earth has had in the creation of all creatures, including the uman race, and above all it recognizes her as a progenitor.

Con queste brevi citazioni, possiamo capire il ruolo fondamentale che la terra ha avuto nella creazione di tutte le creature, compreso il genere umano, e soprattutto le riconosce il merito di progenitrice.

What I ask myself today is: is there a the common thread between man and nature?
Certainly there was in ancient time, when the man was one with her; today progress had changed us, it does not make us at nature with respect, but on the contrary invites us to exploit her to improve our condition by not caring to destroy an asset so precious to ourselves.
The uman activitys are modifying the enviromment by through excessive deforestation, agricultural exploitation that it has caused soil erosion and desertification, especially of the savannas, have leading to extinction of animals communitys.

Quello che mi chiedo oggi è: c’è ancora un filo conduttore tra uomo e natura?
Sicuramente c’è stato in tempi remoti, quando l’uomo era un tutt’uno con essa; oggi il progresso ci ha cambiati, non ci fa più guardare la natura con rispetto, ma solo come una fonte inesauribile per migliorare le nostre condizioni non curandoci di distruggere un bene così prezioso per noi stessi.
Le attività umane stanno modificando l’ambiente attraverso l’eccessivo disboscamento, lo sfruttamento agricolo che ha causato l’erosione del suolo e la desertificazione soprattutto delle savane, portando all’estinzione di comunità di animali.

This pictorial work, made with acrilyc and ropes on canvas, represent the land creatures, with the man in the center. The vitruvian man by Leonardo da Vinci, symbol of armony and proportions: not by change these days is traveling to the Louvre museum of Paris that dedicate a big show at our illustrious master.
As we know this figure has not only the purpose of being a canon of measurement but also symbolic implications. For this reason I inserted it in the center of the painting, to highlight the relationship that should exist between man and nature.

Quest’opera pittorica, eseguita con acrilico e corde su tela, rappresenta le creature terrestri, con al centro l’uomo. L’uomo Vitruviano di Leonardo da Vinci, simbolo di armonia e proporzioni: non a caso in questi giorni in viaggio per il museo del Louvre di Parigi che dedica una grande mostra al nostro illustre maestro.
Come sappiamo questa figura non aveva solo lo scopo di essere un canone per la misurazione ma anche risvolti simbolici. Per questo l’ho inserita nel mezzo del dipinto, per sottolineare il rapporto che ci dovrebbe essere tra uomo e natura.

We need of the common thread between man and nature, a thread that creates the right contacts to generate harmony.
It is from the balance between man and nature that aesthetic sensibility and artistic creation come to life. For me , the common thread exist, but we have trampled it, covered, rolled up, hidden away.
It’s time to let it flow, retrace it and to recover the harmony of evrything, vital energy.

C'è bisogno di un filo conduttore tra uomo e natura, un filo che crei i contatti giusti per generare armonia.
E’ dall’equilibrio tra uomo e natura che prendono vita la sensibilità estetica e la creazione artistica. Secondo me, il filo conduttore esiste, ma lo abbiamo calpestato, coperto, arrotolato, nascosto. E' tempo di lasciarlo fluire, ripercorrerlo e recuperare appunto l'armonia del tutto, l'energia vitale.
