This illustration is quite special because it is based on an illusion and a real image. In the fifties during the government of Marcos Perez Jimenez, built these twin towers called "The Towers of Silence" to be located in the area "silence", was one of the first symbols of modernity that opened the country to leave an agricultural era and move towards progress. I do not know them personally, I would like to go to Caracas soon and see them with my own eyes.

Esta ilustración es bastante especial porque esta asentada en una ilusion y una imagen real. En los años cincuenta durante el gobierno de Marcos Perez Jimenez, se contruyeron estas torres gemeles llamadas "Las torres del Silencio" por estar ubicadas en la zona "el silencio", fue uno de los primeros simbolos de modernidad que abrio el pais para salir de una epoca agricola y encaminarse hacias el progreso. No las conozco personalmente, quisiera ir pronto a Caracas y verlas con mis propios ojos.

Pero cual el objetivo de esta ilustración en medio de esta apagon? Como símbolo de modernidad, para mi estas torres en la total obscuridad es una imagen que esta estampada en mi mente desde que comencé a ilustrar todo este caos eléctrico, en especial, es imaginarme como los pocos símbolos de progreso del país, quedan a merced de la obscuridad, negligencia y todo lo ha significado este gobierno para el pais...

Para mi esta imagen es muy importante, como cada una que he ido realizando y mostrando a ustedes, porque en ellas puedo quizá, hacer el intento construir la realidad a mi manera...ese es mi objetivo con esto, con el arte, hacer catarsis, pasar el padecimiento y inmortalizarlo en imágenes hechas con lapicero, y marcadores... porque no encuentro otra razón para desembarazar mis ilusiones, y la vida que todos los días ocurre en la cada esquina del país desangrado...
