Thank you, c-squared ^_^.

I love love love this @scrawly!! The artwork looks so soft and graceful :) I like how traditional your digitally painted piece looks. And I love butterflies!

Obviously they’re still insects so they look freakish at close-up.

Hehe yah... I try to not get too close :) I also like ladybirds which are so cuteeee.

I always find traditional based art to be very charming, maybe that's why my drawings have that feel of being made with real media. Oh yeah, ladybug is indeed a very cute animal, I love their domes, the dotted ones especially <3.

I love how your butterfly is so ethereal in its monochromatic delicate wings, the harmony of such restrained colours against the purple of the lavender flowers is very elegant to me :) And the slight orange splash gives it a very lovely touch <3

Love the step by step animation, also, as usual !!!

Butterflies are magical ! I saved one the other day, it was trapped behind some glass window, where it couldn't work out why it could see the sky but couldn't fly towards it. After it tried and tried and tried I saw it rested and I quickly grabbed it carefully by the wings and then set it free :D :D :D :D :D I was so happy ! It flew to the skies :D

I am just happy that the watercolour brushes behave nicely for this art. Watercolour is such a difficult thing to master, I am even more amazed by people like you who can do it without undo.

It is great that you saved the butterfly, spideroo! I thought you guys are arch enemies but you might be like Blade against other vampires.

the effect on the butterfly wings reflect the close-up texture of them and the light touch makes them appear fragile.
Also, this may be inaccurate but for me, the colour scheme recalls traditional Japanese paintings - personal perception or not it works well @scrawly. Thank You for sharing.

I'm not sure if the colour scheme looks like traditional Japanese paintings, but if it does, then that's great because Japan has plenty of things that I adore :D.

Thank you Alenia ^_^.

There, I've found two for you... it must be because of the light brown.

Also while researching I have found that purple, was expensive in Japan too. While in Europe they use to produce it crushing shells, in Japan it was extracted from Purple gromwell Lithospermum erythrorhizon , the extraction was very difficult therefore the use was restricted by law.

Just because I kept on thinking about it ⋀⋁⋀(⊙).(⊙)⋀⋁⋀

my pleasure @scrawly ^_^.

Wow, you gave me great finding. These pictures are really lovely and soft, what a great and graceful style. And I didn't know about the purple colour extraction either, it's amazing. Thank you Alenia, what an awesome comment ^_^.

Pretty cool. I'll be sure to re-blog.

Thank you very much :).
