Soooo cute. I'm a guy with a tiny dog so no stereotypes. Great art. I love the dog's expression. You really captured the joyful spirit of the little beast! ;-)
The sepia tones give shades of classical portraiture. The face on the young girl is lovely, filled with a wide-eyed wonder and she's really there with both her dog and the person taking her portrait. And doggo is so happy and content just to be there with her.
Our male and female ways of thinking are so outmoded. Pink and pretty, soft and cuddly for 'girls' with blue and stately, tough and emotionless for 'boys.' We know it's ridiculous but these patterns have been ingrained through generations and so it's hard for some to see through them.
Anyway, your young lady is quite unperturbed because she definitely sees through it all. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Yes, you are very right. I know that we have been taught all these gendered values since very early on and quite a lot of people can't escape to think this way, but I'm glad to find some people who can do so and free themselves from the outdated expectation.

Some people are already following you, keep going!
I think it’s funny that you have the dog panting. It’s funny because that’s exactly how I remember my sisters Pomeranian, Baron. He was a great little dog. We watched him several times when they would go on vacation. I think he died at age 16 or 17. He lived a very long time. Eventually lost all of his hair except for some around his neck ankles and tail. He looked like a little lion. I will have to see if I can find a picture of him tomorrow. Cute drawing. Brought back a lot of memories for me… Thank you!
Haaa! You notice it, that means you really know a lot of doggoness, which is not surprising at all coming from you :D.
I am so conflicted about that, since I know they look really happy when they are "smiling" but I know that they're actually panting, which is not good for them if they do it all the time. Thankfully my doggos are not panting often, only when they've just been running around, which is kinda bad for photos but good for their health. A trade that I'm willing to do any day ^_^.
A dog’s shoulder blades are unattached to the rest of the skeleton to allow greater flexibility for running.
I didn't know that before, thank you.

Very beautiful drawing, love the arrangement and the girl and the doggo as well :D Lovely lines and delicate shading <3
She looks so prim and happy and why not celebrate things that make people happy !
That guy sounds like an insecure and petty person who probably have a lot to overcompensate in his life :D :D :D
Love this piccar, @scrawly ! Y...you should colour it <3
Yeah, unfortunately some people have weird hate boner to cute things. Maybe everything needs to be edgy and badass for them all the time.
I'm with the girl here, who cares about them XD.
Thank you spider ^_^.

And you are right, though they might look like an angel, they can be quite a naughty little beast XD.
Thank you jrej ^_^.
True that! Here's my little beast. I posted a few photos for a contest! https://steemit.com/dpet-xmas/@jrej/dpet-x-mas-contest-2018
