Art of the Day | Art Series: # 2 | 12/01/2019 | "My precious 30" | @oscurocactus
Hi, this time I'm coming with a new post and it's about a new proposal that I've put in this year, which is to make drawings more often throughout the year, since I had stopped doing it for a lot of the 2018 and that this new year I want to take again, it will be like a kind of "Diary / Sketchbook" about all the drawings that I am making throughout the year and I would like to share it here on this wonderful platform.
🌵LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PROCESS
For this drawing, I wanted to do something that was totally different from what I normally do. So I took my sketchbook and started making the sketch, adding and removing ideas.
Little by little I was making the sketch with every idea that came to mind, until finally I got a great idea. My final idea was to make a kind of Gothic boy, with a skull, flowers and a butterfly, emphasizing what would be life and death.
"I should add that my friend likes this kind of thing, so I wanted to integrate it into the drawing."
With the sketch once finished, used and completed my whole idea of what the drawing would be, I began to give details to it. The eyes, the nose, the eyebrows and everything else, was shown throughout the process.
I feel that little by little I am recovering my inveterate passion for drawing, I wonder Why had not this idea occurred to me before?, little by little I will be getting even better in the drawing with this artistic proposal that I proposed this new year.
As you can see the drawing is taking shape when going from one detail to another, please .... Have you seen the skull? ... I love how it looks.
Finally culminate with the drawing, giving the last details as some shadows and retouching some lines and fractions of the face. In the end I loved the final finishing of the drawing, it is so dark but fascinating at the same time, I just LOVE IT.
