Digital portrait-Bloom with the light
There must be some sort of a fire kind of light source right in front of her. And those light are shining through her hair and giving her some orange glow throughout her skin.
I used photoshop cc and wacom intous small graphic tablet to paint this.
Process description....
As usual i start with a sketch. Then i try to block in some colors to be able to paint on a clipped layer. I was using the brush with a lower opacity plus the lower opacity from the pen pressure so after blocking the layer with really transparent color, i copied it about 14 times and then merged them together.
Using the same textured brush i placed some different colors throughout the face.
I worked on the lips, nose and eyes and then kept shading the face.
I used two different layers to paint the hair. One of them was on top and one of them was beneath but above the background layer.
I painted the flower with hard edge brush with full opacity, later i blended the colors.
I worked on the background for a little while. I had to use different kind of brush to get a painterly look.
I painted the hair a little more, added some highlights and at the end i used a soft round brush to soften the face shading then i used a textured brush to randomly to brush through the face and then lower the opacity of the layer to make it less visible.

In other words, when you say digital, is it done on the computer?
I thought you painted it by hand, brushes, paintings and everything.
Admirable what can be done in digital format.
yes its done on a computer. But some people might get confused thinking its the computer that's making the art. that's not true.
the computer monitor is simply my canvas and i still have to hold a pen in my hand and draw everything just like anyone draws traditionally.
