Wow, kristy is also doing watercolours studies? I am learning watercolours right now and struggling a lot XD I think you are grasping the medium much better than I do, though....

I'm really not doing well with the task of having to wait for things to dry, myself. And like you, sometimes I like how the colours look like after they dry, but sometimes I dislike it and prefer the colours only when they were still wet :3

I haven't done any watercolor art without reference. I just find what I like and experiment. I'm using cheap but decent paper so I don't worry about messing up which I think helps most :)
Haha the brush strokes weren't that delicate while I was making them, a happy accident ^^
