🎨 Don't be afraid of the dark
Watercolor work made on beautiful Fabriano 300 gr paper.
It has rough surface, but it's poetry working on it.
Size of watercolor is 50x50 cm.
As I said in some previous post, I love square format.
Here is one of the first times I used Japanese pattern I adore so much.
That blue repetition of patter on her clothes gave me some stillness and peace confronting dark and live background of forest.
Thank you for watching!
quite beautiful, all the details, colors, gradients and illuminations are great, that is, I do not see that something is missing, well, something is missing... frames this artwork in my house :v
Hahaha, maybe we will manage something, about that framing :) Thank you!
The branches interpret the topic just perfect. Although you don't draw anything dark, you express the nerve emotion very well.

Since I am in forest topic for so long, I decided that forest, dark one would be perfect choice for life symbol.
That's a very beautiful artwork. I love how you did the eyes of her.

Love is a secret ingredient for all art, and I am having it a lot for watercolor :) Thank you for your support again and again!
I love seeing each one of her pieces, they are all so beautiful and this girl is so tender, I like very much the eyes have a lot of noblesse! the patterns are very good, it looks like a nice dress. The blue color suits the piece very well.
Beautifull!

That is very true and in my case I am never happy when I finish a portrait XD
Very lovely piece, Dunja <3 I really like the serious expression on the girl's face, you have such a beautiful method of capturing subtle emotions with how you present the eyes. Paired with the title of the piece, I get a sense of delicate heaviness from her blue-green eyes. As if she can see through the audience.
Her skin tone is wonderful, as well, a lovely and vivacious feeling, and the blue pattern on her clothes gives a serene vibes, which I think, is contrasted well against the more alive blue of the background. An ordered pattern on the clothes, and a freeform blue of the background. It gives a very interesting ambiance <3 I really like this work, Dunja <3 ! It has layers of emotionality contained within it <3
Your comments make me blush each time. I am amazed with your gift of seeing and describing my art. Not sure if I ever would be able to tell so much in words of any of my paintings. And to add, it so interesting to read your impressions!
Thank you dear Spider!

Beautifully composed in the square format Dunja. All the features of the face are so balanced and I especially love the shape of her face. And as always I love how you paint watery layers of washes with your watercolour. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Washing is something I love to do, and this kind of paper allows it easily since it's not so soft and thin. It's also good for more water, so those washing parts look so good. Thank you dear Ally again, and again :)
