Drawing Based on David Sculpture
Hi everyone, sharing with you a recent drawing based on Michelangelo's sculpture David. It was done on A5 paper with pencils ranging from 3H to 4B. It took me about two hours to do. I don't have any progress images however, I started with a few perpective lines for the head, created the outline and finished with the tones. I am drawn to beauty in Michelangelo's work. Although, this sculpture is known to not have anatomically correct proportions I still thought of the word perfection to describe it when viewing it in real life.
Nice drawing and having this view from bellow allows you to show the lower part of chin, nose and eye lids. Beautifully done!
Thanks!
