Submissions for Crafts/Design are now open. Introducing two talented new artists.
It is been a few days since @ntopaz announced that we are now accepting submissions of talented craftsmen/designers and i decided to make an official announcement. I am very exited with the news because this move will bring greater variation to our platform and we will have the chance to support more artists. Especially for craftsmen this support is much needed as they have to spend a lot of money for supplies and tools and way more time and effort to present their creations through photoshootings and videos.
To make things more clear the craftsman/designer niche includes, jewelry makers, installation artists, indoor and outdoor designers, fashion and costume making and the many different subsections of those fields. I have seen amazing sand sculptures, beautiful and tasteful indoor decoration projects and outdoor arrangements with symbolic value and based on a great idea. Feel free to play with your talents and even if you do not see yourself as an artist you may discover that you indeed have an artist side waiting to be unlocked.
In the spirit of the announcement i would like to introduce two new and very talented artists that fit the example of craftsman/designer and are also passionate about their art.
The first is Titti, an Italian multi talented, installation and collage artist who started posting at @ntopaz platform recently and it is a great honor to have her with us. Her quote nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed is a mantra i share in my artistic life also. She started her career as a painter and then developed towards the tree dimensional textile installations.
MENTAL PLAGIARISM is a large collage artwork composed of various items and images created to raise awareness in the problems of gender roles in our society. A tired housewife surrounded by everyday objects escapes her reality in a deep sleep. The poem by the Lebanese poetess Nada al-Hajj entitled “Freedom” is written all over the sofa and concludes the artwork in a perfect way. It is her first submission to the @ntopaz platform and i am looking forward for more.
The second is Mocosh, an Ukrainian passionate jewelry maker who like to create necklaces of beads, natural stones(such as: agate, jasper, quartz, turquoise), of ammonites (ancient, petrified mollusks) and pearls, crystals and many other materials. She is very much inspired by her cultural heritage and her creations are detailed and tasteful.
Forest Fairy is a necklace she created to celebrate the coming of Spring and the rebirth of nature. She used a detailed fairy in bright green colours as the central piece and she accompanied it with a chain of flat wooden blank and wooden beads in order to emphasize its connection with the forest.
