My night - watercolor /// La mia notte - acquerello

It is very easy to represent a landscape in full watercolor light.
But with the night, everything becomes more difficult.
The watercolor painters know it well, a nocturnal watercolor has double difficulties compared to the same daytime landscape.
- You don't have the white color to lighten.
- You can't give transparency with colors, as sunlight requires.
- You have dark tones that risk drowning the painting, making it become too dark and dirty.
- Gray, blue, brown are very dangerous to use, they can only create visual confusion.
- You have little light to use, you must have the light pictorial line.
This is my night, dedicated to children in the war zones, and to my friend photojournalist Eligio Paoni, a child, companion of many beers, correspondent of many wars, who now photographs them from his night.
Hi Eligio.
An embrace of peace.
Armando.
I dreamed in one day
to feel the night
among the stars and bombs.
Falling.
Without noise
in silence.
A night of quiet
without tears
and neither cries
a night of peace
distant the roars
of shooting stars.
I dreamed in one day
to feel the night
sing the praises
of young martyrs.
I heard one night
the pain of a day
broken lives
and red trees
of spilled blood.
I dreamed of the night
as a dream of light
and drawings of children
playing in peace.
Ciao Eligio.
Un abbraccio di pace.
Armando.
Ho sognato in un giorno
di sentire la notte
tra le stelle e le bombe.
Cadenti.
Senza rumore
in silenzio.
Una notte di quiete
senza pianti
e nè grida
una notte di pace
lontani i boati
di stelle cadenti.
Ho sognato in un giorno
di sentire la notte
cantare le lodi
di giovani martiri.
Ho sentito una notte
il dolore di un giorno
vite spezzate
