Old farmhouse
Hello dear friends.
I return to talking about watercolor painting.
I share a perspective painting of an ancient farmhouse from the 1600s.
Representing solid watercolor architectures is very stimulating.
With the painting technique so light, like the watercolor, based on water and natural pigments, it is very difficult to represent masonry or stone buildings.
The challenge was to give an interesting shape to the old farmhouse.
For the drawing and framing of the subject I used an angular perspective, with two vanishing points.
As you can see from the diagram, I used this method of graphic representation to give more movement and dynamism to the subject.

This ancient farmhouse is a static element and had to be moved with two points of view and with a pictorial technique that tends to lighten towards the bottom.

The result is quite fluid and dynamic and the farmhouse has kept its rigid structure, but at the same time it is made more delicate with soft colors.

Antico casale
Ciao cari amici.
Torno a parlare di pittura ad acquarello.
Condivido un dipinto in prospettiva di un antico casale del 1600.
Rappresentare le solide architetture ad acquarello è molto stimolante.
Con la tecnica pittorica così leggera, come l'acquarello, basata sull'acqua e pigmenti naturali, è molto difficile rappresentare edifici in muratura o in pietra.
La sfida è stata quella di dare una forma interessante all'antico casale.
Per il disegno e inquadratura del soggetto ho usato una prospettiva angolare, con due punti di fuga.
Come potete vedere dallo schema, ho usato questo metodo di rappresentazione grafica per dare più movimento e dinamicità al soggetto.
Questo antico casale è un elemento statico e andava movimentato con due punti di vista e con una tecnica pittorica che tende a schiarirsi verso il fondo.
Il risultato è abbastanza fluido e dinamico ed il casale ha conservato la sua struttura rigida, ma al tempo stesso è reso più delicato con colori tenui.

That's good. One of the nice things about watercolor is that it gives a lot of luminosity to the paint. You made a very nice composition with a rare perspective, the house and the environment look very good, you feel the spirit of the time. Congratulations.
