Hello to all dear friends and well back on my blog.
Today I share with you a watercolor painting accompanied by a photographic reportage on some artistic beauties of Rome
The painting represents a triumphal arch and a Trunk of Roman column that dissolve sour over time, leaving room for the insistence of nature.
Two forces, one artificial, man-made and a natural one that takes back possession of space.
A painting with clear tones but with a precise message, nothing is eternal!
Below I share a series of photographs of the so-called Eternal City.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.
Oggi condivido con voi un dipinto ad acquarello accompagnato da un reportage fotografico su alcune bellezze artistiche di Roma
Il dipinto rappresenta un arco trionfale e un tronco di colonna romana che si dissolvono nel tempo, lasciando spazio all'insistenza della natura.
Due forze, una artificiale, costruita dall'uomo ed una naturale che si riprende il possesso dello spazio.
Un dipinto dai toni chiari ma dal messaggio preciso, nulla è eterno!
Di seguito condivido una serie di fotografie della cosiddetta città Eterna.

Le famose carrozze chiamate "Botticelle" che sono presenti a Piazza di Spagna da più di duecento anni, e che possiamo trovare in tutte le piazze più importanti di Roma.

The famous Baroque fountain of the great sculptors and architects of the 1600s, Pietro and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, father and son.
The boat shape of the fountain stimulated the imagination of the Romans who nicknamed it the Barcaccia (old and ugly boat in dialect).

It is a short walk from Piazza di Spagna but is not much visited.

the wall is characterized by many artifacts or fragments of Ancient Rome and the bronze bust of the artist.
The house in the late 1800s was auctioned off and a patron painter bought it.
It became the home of the Union of Artists.
il muro è caratterizzato da molti reperti o frammenti dell'Antica Roma e dal busto di bronzo dell'artista.
La casa verso la fine del 1800 fu messa all'asta e un pittore mecenate la acquistò.
Diventò la sede dell'Unione degli Artisti.

My old school, with the State Art High School attached.
A beautiful 19th-century building in the shape of a horseshoe.
L' Accademia delle Belle Arti!
La mia vecchia scuola, con annesso il Liceo Artistico Statale.
Un bellissimo edificio ottocentesco a forma di ferro di cavallo.
one of the entrances to the academy, and above it we have the famous tree-lined boulevard called the Lungotevere that skirts the Tiber.
uno degli accessi all'accademia, e sopra di esso abbiamo il famoso viale alberato chiamato Lungotevere che costeggia il Tevere.
continuing on foot, a few tens of meters away we meet Mr. Tiber.
With its romantic Roman bridges the subject of thousands of paintings executed by all the artists of the world.
proseguendo a piedi, a poche decine di metri incontriamo il signor Tevere.
Con i suoi romantici ponti romani oggetto di migliaia di dipinti eseguiti da tutti gli artisti del mondo.

Colonnine di sostegno in travertino dei parapetti sui ponti romani, che resistono da oltre 2000 anni!
Here are some characteristic wooden sign posts with the names of the most famous areas of the old town.
Ecco dei caratteristici cartelli indicatori in legno con i nomi delle più famose zone del centro storico.
following the signs a few tens of meters we arrive in a square of extraordinary beauty: Pantheon Square!
seguendo i cartelli a poche decine di metri arriviamo in una piazza di straordinaria bellezza: Piazza del Pantheon!
The Pantheon: the building that best represents Romanesqueness, a colossal domed temple with a single-block porch topped with Corinthian capitals.
Il Pantheon: l'edificio che meglio rappresenta la romanità, un colossale tempio a cupola con un portico di otto colonne monoblocco sormontate da capitelli corinzi.
I close my short trip to ancient Rome with a Christmas photograph of Piazza Navona.
