Snapseed is a photo editing app on Android. I understand there's also an iOS version. I used it a bit for a while but forgotten about it until last month when I saw this news about Snapseed being upgraded recently.

I take lots of photos but they are blurred, I'll delete them. I have wondered if some of them could have been saved but I had to "borrowed" two photos from @knozaki for #myexperiment. Have a look at the photos before and after.

My conclusion was the first case, there is some improvement that giving up on the original photo would have been a mistake. For the other one, seems could not get any improvement.

Now, I show you how you can experiment with your photo and see it is worth saving using Snapseed. First you open the photo with the Snapseed and follow what I do below.

Here, place the finger on the left and drag to the right to increase the level of sharpness.

Let me know if it works for you. In #myexperiment, it was a 50-50 chance so far.

Snapseed is pretty good I've used it on my Ipad. It is great for creative effects but obviously it won't make a photo that has camera shake or is out of focus come back into focus.

Of course. That's why not totally successful but there is a chance you don't throw away.
Anything else good that you can recommend playing with?

Not for editing like that but if you like taking landscape shots there is an app called Photographers Ephemera that can help you plan your shots so that you know exactly where and when the sun will set or rise etc. It's probably overkill for regular shots but if you want to get something for a competition entry, or want long exposures it is quite useful.

Thanks for the tip. Looks interesting. Like fit for military grade even but don't think I find much use for it in the island I'm at. Will certainly be handy for travel planning.

Thank you and thanks for your comment

Excellent job sir @ ace108. Thanks for sharing the information

You're welcome.
Thanks for your comment.

On the first photo I am able to see a real difference.
Seems to be an interesting tool. Very cool.

Seems good enough to experiment more with it. At least, not to delete the photo on first thought.
Thanks for your comment.

Snapseed is one of my favourite editing apps. It's very powerful and makes great black and white photos

Good for you, sir. I should play with it more and maybe will be my favorite.

Read Time: Stop: 00:01:16.310 great apps are out there, but the best thing is getting a good camera, that gives quality and character, as for post-production(reworking photos) yeah sharpen, crop(frame), balance colors, contrast a bit, but it all depends on the photo the quality and the light :)

Yes, agreed. A good shot is always better though some times we worry more about snapping quick quick quick but end up with one shot which you regret not slowing down for a good focus.
