RE: One Bit News - Green News - Week 6
The Nile represents life for Egypt because, unlike the riparian countries of the Nile, the country does not have other important resources like rainwater. The Nile represents for Egypt 90% of the water resources and constitutes today a stake in environment and health. The Nile is mainly polluted by industries (387 million m3 / year,) and household waste (1700 million m3 / year). Then there is agricultural waste and in particular those related to banana cultivation, then waste thrown by the 300 or so restaurant boats floating on the Nile that dump their garbage directly into the river.
So you will get Upvotes the whole week
So nice to see the Nile again and your information about the enviroment there. I have been in Cairo and even talked with the chief of the police.
Your profile does not say where you come from, are you from Cairo or Egypt?

Thank you @Ramta, your answer really gives me a lot more courage to continue and give my best to contribute with good information.
I am not Egyptian but I am Moroccan and I love to inform myself about everything related to the environment and gyography around the world, and I found this fantastic OBN magazine where I can enjoy information and also share information that I hope to be useful to everyone here.
