Golf rain gear is essentially used by golfers when the weather is wet. Especially if you play in the northern states that get a lot of rain. Sometimes we dont have a choice but to tough it out through some soggy rounds
The right golf rain gear is important. All golf rain gear is constructed from lightweight fabric that allows free movement of the arms for an unencumbered golf-swing, and is completely silent and keeps the wearer comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. GGG recommends that you get a rain suit made or Gore-tex, which is the best material to have, just a little pricey A rain suit could run several hundred dollars, but we have seen deals as low as $129 or so And make sure you get one of those bucket hats. I know they look horrible, but if you want to keep the rain out of your eyes (especially if you wear glasses); they are the best hats to be wearing.
Rain-proof Bags: A bag that keeps your clubs dry, but what is even better is a bag that keeps everything dry, from your wallet to your blackberry, to the mini-bar and TV Al Czervik from Caddy Shack sported. Invest in a bag with water-proof pockets. After all, no one likes rain in their mint julep mix
Fancy Globes for Fancy Men! Those leather gloves of yours may be fine dandy when its dry, Mr. Fancy Pant, but in the rain they become a liability. Once soaked, your grip will be ruined. To prevent you from sending your sand wedge out of the trap with the ball (Just wanted to make sure the ball didnt get any ideas! Right), a pair of rain gloves will go a long way. They grip better the more waterlogged they are, so youll be praying for a monsoon!
The Shoes: Beat the Wet Feet! Nobody likes wet feet, at the altar or the green! While they may not help you in the former, waterproof golf shoes will certainly aid you in the latter situation. The best are guaranteed not to get soaked, so hold on to that receipt in case they do! Investing in more than one pair cant hurt anything except your wallet, and will let them dry between rounds on the course. Bring a couple extra pairs of socks, as well.
The Umbrella: Cover from Above! A good golf umbrella goes a long way to make rain less distracting to a would-be wet-vet. And the true wet vets will tell you to not be stingy here! Get an umbrella with vents. This will keep it from inverting when you need it most.
Well, you can go nuts, but these are the essentials you need to keep that great round going, no matter what Mother Nature has in store for your round Decent golf rain gear is essential if like me, youre mad for golf and play all year round.
