Secret Giveaway, and a new and satirical original poem for you!
I have been hiding a giveaway contest at the bottom of my recent posts to see if anyone is paying attention, it turns out that they aren't. If anyone is interested, please check the last paragraph of this post to understand how to enter (its really easy).
I have a lot on my plate recently with lots of great new ideas and a projects for Prosperous Year 2018. I have some very exciting, personal and innovative projects to share with you all this year, its going to be great! I am also starting to work more with Steem outreach, and will start publishing beginner guides in both spanish and english.
But for now, let's get to the poem!
@sature has done it again with his new, seventh edition of the Satirical Poetry Contest. Jump in and writing your own poem as I have done, using the prompt - 'Speed-Dating for Dictators'.
And we're off!
characterizing governments
with dictator'ial policies
requires ministers to invent
grand and impressive strategies
to allure the reigning regent,
alignment of realities
between plebe and establishment.
A minor advisor would be
given no more than mere moments
to try to make the leader see
geopolitical movements,
human rights or democracy,
supporting short-sighted prudence
to cede local autonomy
to regional development.
Long-term, trusted mentors, busy
with keeping the masses content,
Minister of Finance worries
about each cent that does get spent.
Each 'date' speeding, oh verily
until the afternoon relents,
then to diplomatic parties
and all sorts of fun merriment.
Thank you for stopping by. By my count, this is my 11th official poem of the year. Since we are not quite done with February, the second and shortest month, I am very happy to be well along my way to completing my goal this year of publishing 52 poems on steemit.
This particular poem is written in an eight by eight structure that I have been using more recently, and there are three verses, all with the same rhyme scheme, with the same rhymes throughout the poem, its AB all the way down 😎.
Love and Light to All of You!
