Seance masquerading as science,
Logic doesn't make sense anymore,
Progress is seen as defiance,
We're back to the days of folklore
Scared fanatics opinions are the loudest
They hunt down the non conforming
They believe in divinity , don't understand the rest
Turn their backs on global warming
History always repeats repeats it's mistakes
They'll sell you a plot among heaven's elite
Like Marie Antoinette giving out cakes
by selling ignorance on the street
But the light always finds a way
As probability will always beat fate
Time to gather all those who've gone astray
But will it be too late?

I think this is true. I don't think there is a supernaturally predetermined fate for us.
I actually think probability is fate, and fate is probability. All we can do is make our choices in life based on what we think will probably turn out as we wish, based on as much data as we can reasonably collect. And then the dice are rolled and probability determines our fate.
It may be totally deterministic; if we knew every state of every particle in the universe, we might know exactly what the future holds. But to us, it looks like random things happen with a certain probability. Kind of like a huge Role Playing game. And we could be in one of those too! Some say the universe is just a simulation.
