Where are we going with greed ?

A land flowing with milk and honey, prospering from the unity of three sisters now turned to a desolate place washed in the blood of innocent and the cries of the people for justice.

Oh yeas it does. It's a simple picture of what Nigeria has become.

We fought for our independence as one one nation, standing united against the colonialists saying "No More.
We want you gone". What happened to that unity?

åThe Nigeria of today is so much in disunity that we can't even tolerate tribal or religious differences.
Where did we go wrong? It has turned into a situation of "Tribe before Nation".

People are agitating for a separation because the people's interests are not well represented hence, whichever tribe has a higher representation is more favored.

When are we going to stop picking sided because "he is my brother" or "he is part of my tribe"? When are we going to be objective about issues concerning our kinsmen?
How did we get to a point where the system cannot be trusted to handle issues and people have to take laws into their own hands?
Honesty is hard to come by.

åEven the suckling babe understands that money speaks louder then one's voice when things have to be done. When are we going to stop giving bribes?
There is so much decay of values that we blame our leaders for our problems.

Oh they carry part of the blame because they were once like us. But why did we allow them silence us with gifts and lofty promises? Yet we keep making the same mistakes because of our greed.

åWhen are going to say "No" to bags of rice and petty cash?

A land flowing with milk and honey is now washed in the blood of innocents because we have refused to stand by the words that form the foundation of this great nation (the national anthem).

åWe have discarded our values to feed the monster of greed that grows in our hearts. When will animals stop swallowing funds meant for national improvement?
We have allowed hate into our hearts because of tribal and religious differences.

åWhen are we going to stop for the common interest of Nigerians. When are the herdsmen going to stop.

å~Let's face reminds us today that we are first human before we belong to any tribe or people.

å~To achieve a state of peace, we need to have a rethink.

å~Purge out the system. Purge our hearts.

å~ Let love grow and put aside our differences, if not for our sakes but for that of the future Generation.

Nigeria is extremely blessed with Natural Resources but we have Bad leaders leading us.............
