Steem and competitors
Hi,
well, I feel the flag incoming from @stayoutoftherz, as he did not understand that this post are to be seen as criticism to the Steem population and the sheriffs around.
So, today I've read that a Steem competitor pulled the curtains today. I will not mention the name as it is not worthy.
What I want to know if there are any other competitors on the market? Do you know any?
Can medium be named a competitor to Steem? If yes, they are on top, definitely.
I feel that Steem is not going into the right direction, but is there any real competition? This is the question. Without any real competition, Steem can't evolve and grow right.
There is also whaleshares worth of mention, but it seems that they are still behind Steem, so not a proper competition, more to be seen as a Steem clone.
The are no real influencers on Steem. Steem got my attention because of Neil Strauss, which is not posting anymore. That guy was a diamond for this chain, a diamond which we did not manage to take advantage properly.
We have now some guys on trending that promote games on other blockchains, but claim to be the saviors of Steem. I call this hypocrisy.
So if you know any competitor, please let me know, not to betray Steem, but to raise awareness in here that one day someone is going to deliver some better option.

I also got that email and I just at that time found the post overvalued for the 5 sentences of reflections done on it. Most of the people here write more and earn a tenth of it if at all. Sorry, it was not meant personal at all. I am just sometimes fed up of the repeated pattern that people longer on this platform can do whatever they want here, in extreme write about a fart and get those autovotings of their friends. In order to get that same rewards I need to write a profoundly researched article that costs me 10hours - what I therefore very rarely do.

I know the one we shall not name closed down recently after five years. They were a good steem competitor. There are numerous others, at least five or six, some new ones coming up in recent months or about to launch. So steemit is certainly not in a league of its own any more and will need to improve if it wants to attract new members. I won't mention any names, DYOR and you will find them.
Those guys promoting games from another blockchain onboarded those people that play this game to write on Steem so don't make this look like some hypocrisy as it is not. It is just another project trying to help Steem by onboarding content creators.

I feel like with a big stake on Steem, to promote games on another blockchain is wrong. It is my opinion, as there are good games on Steem that we can promote on other blockchains, but this does not happen.
Instead everyone is flagged because some sheriffs are thinking they are always right. This is hypocrisy, not even watching what the post are about.
