My Blog, My Tag
I used to hate resteems on my feed at some point in time. I hated them that much that I even unfollowed people doing that. I was a fanatic back then but I got cured and since I am no longer bothered by them I even read some of the resteemed posts once in a while.
The last one that I read entirely(only the English version because my German is pretty poor) was resteemed by @theaustrianguy and belongs to @jedigeiss. The post is "well intended" and in tune with the #newsteem and also an inspiration for me to blog today because I really had no intention to write anything, till I read this post.
Its topic is content and to be more precise Steem content. Something that the majority of us is uploading on the blockchain daily and that varies from an user to another as much as our user names may vary. You have to have a tag though in my opinion, one that is yours and that makes you be you on this platform and that makes your content unique. For some time I tried borrowing other people's tags but it didn't worked. It wasn't me and somehow these posts weren't actually my content.
As much as I tried uploading videos because I saw that DTube curated big time, spamming posts with just a pic and an introductory text or anything similar it simply wasn't me. It wasn't me because right from my first post on Steem I wanted to become a blogger but haven't really tried till I found about Steem. Posting on Steem was very simple comparing with creating your blog from scratch but I still had to learn a bit about doing that and I had to "blog it" in English which is not my native language.
However, blogging still is my tag and my way of being active in here and it will probably be as long as I will remain active on the blockchain. No matter if others will get higher rewards with just one pic or sharing shitty vlogs. Life's not fair, I know it :))). Still, this is what I like and this is what I'm doing. Trying to fit patterns is what I probably hate the most and even if I'm not gonna be a good blogger or a highly rewarded one I will still share my content which is my blog and my tag.
In it you can find my straightforward opinions on many topics, which is generally my shared content, some of my memories and my personality painted in words. I do strongly believe though, as @jedigeiss pointed out, that content is highly relevant right now for Steem and the #newsteem era might change the way value is being distributed a lot. Yes, curation is also vital to keep the platform alive, flags are also important to clean it, but content is our pride and joy in the arena of social media platforms.
Now I am not claiming by any means that quality content should only be long blog posts and that should be "the standard", I am not fanatic at all, but I am clear though that this is my thing for Steem and it's no use to share other type of content than that. Making the story short I can say that I came for STEEM and stayed for my blog. That's my content, but what's yours?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian

I write short stories and try to capture moments in them and feelings. A few have said to me that I should try mainstream with my work as it is wasted here on steemit. But the thing about steemit is I can try out new things, new ways of saying something to see if it works, if only my posts were being read by the right ones; thing is, I have no idea how to find the right ones to post to...
Don't try 😁. They will find you. When you crave for attention you don't get that much of it, felt on my own. BUT if you feel like going for main stream, why not. You can still post in here and test new things.
