The growing complexity of life

In the modern world, we achieve success not by “learning the tasks and passing tests” but when we do things required by others and the world itself.

“Always prepared” was a response phrase and a second part of the motto of Soviet pioneers - quite similar to the motto of American scouts “Be Prepared”. This phrase symbolises the ability and the willingness of a person to serve and to act at the precise moment in time when the action is needed - the most crucial part of adaptation.

The modern reality requires perception, sensitivity, adaptation and a clear plan, rather than a blind adherence to the set of actions desired at a particular moment. This contrast sometimes makes us think that the obtained result does not compensate for the effort spent on certain actions and projects.

Meanwhile, life is becoming more and more difficult, and competition with other people has only intensified over the years. Soon some people will emerge who will adapt their organisms for science chosen specialties. They will be accompanied by people who will optimize their organisms for the purpose of mediating selected “geniuses” and ordinary people.

Most likely these specialists will not communicate with ordinary people directly: if you know how to taste the light and colors, feel music and touch distant objects with the help of ultrasound, it becomes extremely difficult for you to convey your thoughts to those who lack such a variety of forms of perception.

Today, many experts “underestimate” their intellectual potential and spend a lot of time and efforts on deciphering certain concepts to general public. Over time, the gap will become insurmountable.

It is almost impossible to convey the sensation of touching a drop of dew at dawn with smoke signals. A future specialist will experience same difficulties, trying to describe his day of life to a “normal person”.
