A New ICO Hopes To Battle Spam
So if you are unaware, ICOs are popping up every month now-a-days. It is the cool thing to do. An ICO is a pre-sale of coins so a company can raise funds for their service. There are a lot of interesting ones but with so many, it is easy to get lost and there is also the chance that some are just scams trying to get money. I am not saying this one is legit or not but apparently they have a product up and running. The clouds are called credo and their goal is to stop people from spamming email. According to this site a majority of email is spam and it is costing people a lot of money. But if you use this service, unless you are on a person's whitelist, you will have to pay bitcoin or credo to send an email to them, thus stopping people from spamming.
It is an interesting idea if the whitelist option works. We will have to see where it goes. Maybe we can start an email service where you get a coin when you reply or get a reply. It would need a lot of coins to get off the ground but could be a system of monetization that would add a nice element to your email. Who knows how to start an ICO :p.

Yeah they are making a lot of money so you will see a lot of companies doing them, some that might only have an idea. If the company has a working product, like this one does, at least you can check it out first.
