How to time travel!! The END of British "summer" time.
What is British Summer Time (BST)?
BST, also known as Daylight Saving Time (DST), is a period in summer when the clocks go forward by one hour. This means we get up an hour ‘earlier’ which means we get to see more sunlight. In October, the opposite happens and the clocks go back again for the winter months.
It’s that time of year again...
- "Spring" forward.
- "Fall" back.
For the past week or so in work, the bulk of the conversation was trying to figuring out whether the clocks go back or forward this weekend. Then, it moved on to which one’s the ‘good one’ and which one’s the ‘bad one’!
When clocks go back, you technically get an extra hour in bed, but as any parent of young children knows, it means absolutely nothing...
Opinions are very mixed as to whether or not this practice should continue. Some people say that changing the clocks twice a year upsets the natural rhythm of sleep. This can leasd to health problems, such as an increase in the possibility of having a stroke.
All I know is that my little 1/2pint will be awake an hour "early" tomorrow..... Thank you DST!!

Yep it happens here as well Welshie. It makes no sense anymore, it was done for the farmers back in the day. They’ve talked about it forever I doubt it will change.
When you only sleep an hour or two a night what does it matter really.
Take that hour and have an extra pint or two or....🍺🍺🍺
I usually get about 4hr a night and that's just enough for me. I've kept him up a little later tonight, hoping he sleeps a little later tomorrow morning.
