What percent of Americans hold crypto?
A new survey says only 8 percent of Americans own Crypto
Around 5 percent own Bitcoin
Less than 2 percent own Etherium
Less than 1 percent own Ripple
I guess you could see it as we have room to grow. Or maybe it is better that Ma and Pa middle America aren't losing their life savings on some scammy ICO?
Some other random stats
50 percent of Americans live paycheck to paycheck so not that many people have money to invest anyway
68 percent of Americans own their own home so lots of potential for people to ruin their lives too
I don't invest anything I can't afford to lose. I just thought it was interesting to see the market penetration of crypto. Reasons for not buying include:
high risk (35 % of respondents)
lack of interest in crypto as investment (40%).
lack of understanding how they work (27%).
just think it's a scam (18%)
Some of those groups could be brought over to crypto world with a little education for sure. I see room to grow with this survey. Thanks for reading

The crypto industry would boom once a double digit people bump into it. Life is meant for taking risks ! good stats man
And people wonder where the next run up will come from? There is so much money on the sidelines it's not even funny. Once there is a breakthrough to the masses there will be no turning back.
So the lack of interest is the main reason for not investing in cryptos? Well, it's still better than people thinking it's a scam. Though 18% is still quite large. Hopefully that percentage lowers more as more people discover the value of crypto. Anyways, thanks for the interesting read. Have a nice day.
