R.R lost his first match in IPL season 12
Rajasthan Royals has to face defeat in their first IPL match in IPL season 12. Kings XI Punjab defeated Rajasthan Royals by 14 runs in a match in which opener batsman chris gayle from Punjab made 79 runs in 47 balls, and a superb bowling in the death overs from their team has been helping to win this match. Royals have lost to Punjab in Jaipur for the first ever time but earlier this in the previous five matches Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab kings in Jaipur.
Punjab scored a challenging score of 184 runs for 4 wickets, preventing Rajasthan by 170 runs on 9 wickets. Rajasthan have lost seven wickets in 16 runs in the death overs and this is the biggest reason for their defeat.
Rajasthan won the toss and decided to field first and it got the first breakthrough when Dhawal Kulkarni got Lokesh Rahul caught in the first over by Jos Buttler. This led to Lokesh Rahul making 4 runs only. Chris gayle then started chasing sixes and fours in its familiar style and shared a 56-run partnership with Mayank Agarwal for the second wicket. Mayank was out in 24 balls after scoring 22 runs with the help of 1 four and two sixes.
