It was Edinson Cavani early-on to get Uruguay on the board first in the much-anticipated Round of 16 matchup with Portugal. Luis Suarez whipped a superb cross into the box to the far post, and Cavani was there to rise up and head it home to give Uruguay the early the lead 1-0 in just the 7' of action. The dynamic duo of Suarez and Cavani strike again for the South Americans.

It was a terrific start to the match for Uruguay. The opportunities have been limited for Ronaldo thus far. He just miss-fired into the wall on a free-kick from mouth-watering distance as the half continues to wind on. Still plenty of time left, check back for more updates!
