We are experiencing a Deep State coup enabled by cable news.

Since #Russiagate has shovelled untold levels of unsubstantiated nonsense onto the public that, despite having no evidence to back it up, has somehow become accepted in the media, Democrats now adore the so-called 'deep state' and believe they can defend democracy by staging soft coups against fairly elected leaders.

The intelligence community has, naturally, dropped to record low levels of trust from Republicans.

This is the inevitable consequence of bestowing huge powers of surveillance on shady unelected bureaus. Did anyone really think that politicians wouldn't use unlimited surveillance capabilities to grasp onto their incumbent power? Obama did it, Bush did it, and at the first opportunity Trump will do it.

The answer to this clusterfuck isn't having a more pro-democrat or pro-republican Deep State, it's simply getting rid of the Deep State. That way, these vast and unchecked capabilities which no man should possess can never be abused.

I would strongly recommend listening to the latest episode of Intercepted by Jeremy Scahill, in which he berates those trying to either sanctify or berate intelligence services for partisan agendas.

Given a chance, the CIA/FBI/NSA would seize complete power over the US, and Democrats are currently making it very easy for them. They, quite simply, aren't the 'good guys' and never will be, no matter how much propaganda CNN can force down our throats.
