I live in the EU and this discussion about this law is going on for more than 2 years now. I don't think it passes the european parliament but if it does every countries parliament would have to implement such a law in the countries law/constitution which would take another two years.

My opinion about linking texts, images and videos? It has to be allowed because I think linking is like quoting - every scientific essay must have directory to the sources used for - its necessary to link in articles relaying on information form different sources.
