I hope many of are already in a plan of buying iPhone 8 by now. So  Apple is preparing to release its iPhone 8 later today, in what is expected to be the company's biggest smartphone launch in years. And do you know what's special about it? It is 10th  anniversary of original iPhone, which was first released on 2007.

However  fans got an early taste of what's in store ahead of today's release date as Apple suffered a major leak two days back.Still many of the features are still not reveled there are already many rumors already available on internet. Rumors are rife that the iPhone 8 will feature a stunning new design and plenty of extras which will make it a major upgrade over its predecessors. 

So when it will be released officially?

It will be officially released today at 6pm BST or 10:30pm IST. Tim Cook is expected to unveil the iPhone 8 at an event in California. All the journalist are cordially invited to a event at its new Apple Park headquarter.Apple will also stream this event here.However  iPhone 8 will be available for pre-order on September 15 and hit stores on Friday September 22 

What would be the name of this iPhone?

As Apple releases new iPhone every year redesigning  device every two years and refreshing the internal components and software features on alternate years which is also internally as the "tick-tock" cycle. So following this logic it was supposed to named as 7s, but rumors suggest that Apple is planning a fairly major upgrade this year - both in terms of the design and the inner workings of the phone - to mark the 10-year anniversary. So time will tell what will be the exact name.

 As early as March, Japanese Apple specialists MacOtakara said the new iPhone could be called the Anniversary Edition. So there are rumors of it be named as either iPhone 8/iPhone 8 plus or iPhone X.  So iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are anticipated to feature minor upgrades to the iPhone 7, such as OS11 along with faster chip and longer battery life combined with some awesome features.

 Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 will see some minor upgrades compared to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus series. Now in the past, the expectation was these will be called iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, but that has changed thanks to the new set of leaks. The aluminium chassis design we’ve seen on the iPhone 7 series will continue with the iPhone 8.

Apple will upgrade the processor from the A10 chip to the A11 in the new iPhones and we could see these start at 64GB instead of 32GB. However, the rear camera will likely remain at 12MP on both, though the Plus series will continue to come with the dual rear camera. 

 iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus won’t be getting an OLED, bezel-less display either unlike the special edition iPhone. Apple will stick with the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch LCD display on these smartphones. The new iPhones will run iOS 11 at launch, and the price could at par with what we’ve seen in the past. 

iPhone X Specification

 Apple iPhone X or iPhone Special Edition is the big one. This will have a 5.8-inch bezel-less OLED display, and will actually be more compact than the iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 8 Plus in terms of size. It will also have a glass and steel design, with the front and back being all glass held together by a steel frame. The device is similar to what the iPhone 4, 4s used to have in terms of design. There’s also going to be a face recognition scanner on the front for unlocking the phone.What will be gone from the iPhone X is the Touch ID and physical home button on the front, according to leaked images and reports. Touch ID under the display did not prove to be successful for Apple and this particular technology might take some time to appear on phones.It will come in Black, Silver, Blush Gold and Gold colors, though the front panel is expected to be entirely in black. However, reports from analysts and US media indicate the iPhone X will be in short supply after the launch.

•  Edge-t0-edge display -  the phone will have a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge OLED display 
• No Home Button - it will use advanced pressure-detection technology with 3D Touch 
• Facial recognition software -  it will replace its Touch ID fingerprint scanner and home button with an infrared scanner that will unlock the phone using facial recognition software 
• SmartCam - it could identify different scenes and objects, such as fireworks, foliage, babies, pets, snow or sport.  
• Wireless Charging 
•  Animojis - you can custom animated messages that use your voice and reflect your facial expressions 

So Finally how much will it cost?

Ohh, dear this is the only heartbreaking thing about Apple as it price are always high.If rumors are to be believed then  iPhone 8 will be the most expensive smartphone Apple has ever made.  More recently, Twitter tipster Benjamin Geskin has claimed that the entry-level 64GB iPhone 8 will fetch $999 (around £775), while 256GB and 512GB variants will fetch $1,099 (£850) and $1,199 (£930). And in India it might cost around Rs.1,00,000 . So better let's wait for few more hours and we will get to know the figures exactly
