China assures assistance to return Rohingya
Rohingya has given assurance to help Bangladesh in returning to Myanmar. This assurance has been given to Bangladesh if it wants China's active support to accelerate the rapid repatriation process of Rohingyas.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Foreign Ministry said in a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and Chinese Foreign Minister Wangii in Beijing.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali visited China on Thursday on the invitation of Chinese State Counselor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister expelled the Chinese party from Myanmar and informed about the situation of 11 lakh Rohingyas taking shelter in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Foreign Minister said, "Deported Rohingyas are so scared that they want full assurance of safety in their return. They want to return to their original village, not in any shelter. It is necessary to give them a chance to earn their livelihood.
