RE: Post Hidden due to low ratings

Who said anything about shutting people up?

I flagged you because I didn't agree with your rewards. You're siphoning about $70,000 USD per month from the rewards pool with your self-voting.

Then you flag me because you disagree with me - which is it? Is it ok when I do it, or is it only ok when you do it?

Sort:

If you review my upvotes, you'll see that they were all reactionary to the downvotes from the haters and trolls. Often, as soon as I post, these trolls downvote and make it invisible. So, I upvote it back to visibility. IF you see that as unacceptable and continue downvoting me, I will in reaction to yours, continue self upvoting. You however, seem to ignore the racist memes these trolls put out as well as the jealousy driven insults. Have you seen the spam campaigns these trolls have done on my blog? Have you seen the innocent commenters being downvoted by these haters in their effort to take down my blog? You seem absolutely unaware of these or have ignored it and simply downvoted my blogs yourself continuously.

It's evident you don't like or believe in Technical Analysis as you've written. You must have failed in the past in having tried it and lost money. Unfortunate. Let me tell you, I have 25k followers who disagree with you. They follow for money making analysis and just because YOU don't agree or don't like it gives you no right to stifle what others want.

I too shall downvote your comments and reverse your downvotes when I disagree and feel you are censoring others as you've had quite often. YOU ARE NOT the CENSOR MASTER of STEEMIT! So quit acting so HITLER! My downvotes will not remain idle to your censorship actions!

It's evident you don't like or believe in Technical Analysis as you've written.

What I believe is irrelevant.

You must have failed in the past in having tried it and lost money.

Nope. I don't trifle with bullshit.

Let me tell you, I have 25k followers who disagree with you.

Also irrelevant. Your rewards are primarily coming from the single vote of one account on each post.

They follow for money making analysis and just because YOU don't agree or don't like it gives you no right to stifle what others want.

Flagging doesn't stifle anything. Your followers are still free to read everything you post. Red herring.

I too shall downvote your comments and reverse your downvotes when I disagree and feel you are censoring others as you've had quite often.

You're flagging out of spite, which is in clear violation of the spirit of flagging. Flagging isn't censorship, it doesn't affect the ability of anyone to read what you have to say. It's a way to reduce the rewards on a post if someone disagrees with the amount scheduled to be paid out.

You're trying to conflate 25k followers that buy into your TA nonsense with one voter, @rancho-relaxo, who makes each of your repetitive, pointless posts pay out to the tune of $70,000 USD per month. Your posts aren't worth that much. I will continue to downvote them if they are scheduled for payouts beyond my own, subjective estimation of their worth. This is not censorship, just voting.

This would be an entirely different story if your rewards were coming from thousands of people you'd helped (which would be impossible with TA, as it's not an accurate tool for predicting anything, so that wouldn't actually happen because your however-many-thousand followers aren't consistently making money with your tea leaf readings). But that's not what's happening here; one person is upvoting each and every post you make, pushing their scheduled payouts up to far beyond what those posts are worth.

I love that out of all of his points, that is the only thing you could say. It's comical.

^ The truth is savage.

You, like all trolls, have placed the context elsewhere except into your post; that is where the error lies.

I have downvoted the racist meme makers. I have downvoted the insult ridden posters. I have downvoted the liars. I have downvoted those who relentlessly downvoted the innocent commenters and followers in my blogs, I have downvoted those who have intentionally spammed my blogs, I have downvoted those who adverstise on my blogs, I have downvoted those who censored on my blogs, and I shall continue to do so. If you're so rightous, to these perpetrators....whom have you downvoted for their actions? Your silence clearly has meant you approved. Don't say you didn't know of them because if you've been watching my blog enough to review my payouts..then you've seen the spammers, racists, insult throwers and the like!

Steemit is the wild digital west! It's the survival of the fittest and having sponsors and whales who upvote my blogs is the best protection against jealous haters and trolls and by standers like you and who only can see it your way and no other way. This is evident on how you've been stiffling other bloggers on Steemit with your downvotes.

Such a reasoned and seasoned response!

Just to add, besides the racist taunting and jealously ridden trolling, none of those spamming @hajeins blog is open to reason. In deed, they spam taunt in the hope that they are taunted back. Try to engage them in any reasonable discussion, and they will throw insult on your face.

What above all, i find more disappointing, is as @haejin points out, the silence of these self-appointed steemit police towards the racists spamming racists his blog, and insulting everyone of us who daily waits for @haejin's TA and try to learn from them. Personally, i only joined Steemit, about a month ago. I am still a crypto novice, albeit being very enthused by it. Which is in part why, having heard of @haejin, i took to following him, and now gladly, daily learn from him.

For a while, i nearly took to the side of haters, believing the propaganda so skillfully twisted to demonize @haejin, Vis-à-vis his reward pool share, but upon my own independent research, including reading through the SteemWhite paper to understand how the whole reward pool works, including members' psyche, i found no reason to take issue with a man who is obviously doing exactly what we are all doing here: working hard to earn.

Notably, this line in the steemwhite paper was an eye opener for me, and allowed me to understand the jealousy against @hajein.

The steemWhite paper (pg. 14/32) warns against – the crab mentality

The use of negative-voting to keep people from abusing the system leverages the crab mentality that many people have when it is perceived that one individual is profiting at the expense of everyone else. While crab mentality normally refers to short-sighted people keeping good people down, it is also what allows good people to keep bad people down.

  • The only “problem” with crab mentality is when people wrongly believe someone is profiting at everyone else's expense

This for me opened up my mind, what remained thereafter was a question of humility and standing up for what i believed to be right.

I quickly followed @haejin, and have since been standing up for him against the racists and haters, not through insults and racists taunt-backs, but through reason and argument.

That said, Is there anybody who is at Steemit and wishes not to earn? How much, if i may ask those taking issue with @haejin's rewards, is too much and how much is too little to take from the reward pool? Because until you set agreeable ceilings, and this must follow from having the 'moral right' to do so, which unfortunately nobody can claim, this quarrel with @haejin is at best subjective, biased.

And those manipulating and paying to encourage negative sentiment against a man who, considering his success on steemit, should ideally be lauded rather than demonized - look at his number of followers , also look up to beyond steemit and see the global acclaim and respect @haejin receives - should be decent enough to stop .

Granted maybe i am wrong to follow @haejin, and may be another 10 are wrong, maybe another 100 are wrong, maybe another 500 are wrong, or maybe another 5000 are wrong, but seriously how far, and how many can be wrong? Can 24k be wrong, lets face it?

When all is said and done, racism and hate campaigns are not the solution, dialogue, and at very least, common sense are.

I hope this response does not qualify to get flagged!

It's like saying Christianity is correct and that God magically created the universe out of thin air within seven days. It can't be wrong huh? Because billions of people believe in it.

Now that is the logic of someone who purports to do things on Steemit logically. Nice job! I never knew donkeys can be great comedians as well, until I read this post.

Here is the full section.

Voting Abuse
Regardless of how much money any one individual has, there are always many other individuals with similar wealth. Even the wealthiest individual rarely has much more than the next couple wealthiest combined.
Furthermore, those who have a large investment in a community also have the most to lose by
attempting to game the voting system for themselves. It would be like the CEO of a company deciding to stop paying salaries so he could pocket all of the profits. Everyone would leave to work for other companies and the company would become worthless, leaving the CEO bankrupt rather than wealthy.
Fortunately, any work that is getting a large concentration of votes is also gaining the most scrutiny (publicity). Through the addition of negative-voting it is possible for many smaller stakeholders to nullify the voting power of collusive groups or defecting large stakeholders. Furthermore, large-stakeholders have more to lose if the currency falls in value due to abuse than they might gain by voting for themselves. In fact, honest large stakeholders are likely to be more effective by policing abuse and using negative voting than they would be by voting for smaller contributions.
The use of negative-voting to keep people from abusing the system leverages the crab mentality that many people have when it is perceived that one individual is profiting at the expense of everyone else.
While crab mentality normally refers to short-sighted people keeping good people down, it is also what allows good people to keep bad people down. The only “problem” with crab mentality is when people wrongly believe someone is profiting at everyone else's expense.

Your argument would be totally sound if it weren't for the fact that the vast majority of his rewards come from himself and one other individual. haejin and Ranchorelaxo represent a collusive group, as mentioned in the same section of the whitepaper you quoted. As such, they are attempting to game the system for themselves.

You state that the whitepaper warns against the crab mentality. However, negative voting is described as fortunate and the scrutiny of heavily upvoted posts is seen as a positive. It is that scrutiny which led to the discovery of ranchorelaxo, an inactive whale with virtually no interaction other than to upvote haejin and downvote according to haejin's will.

All indications from haejin are that he does not intend to stick around for very long. While other whales are strategizing ways to improve the platform, he chooses only to defend the highest paying blog in Steem, his own self/collusive-voted blog. Now, nobody is saying he has to be involved in any other aspect of Steem, but he actually took it the other way by threatening to counter every single one of steemcleaner's votes. This action proves that he doesn't really care about Steemit or Steem long term. To him, it's just another wave he can ride in on and jump off when he's though milking it.

Has haejin suffered insults? Yes. Is being called "Donkey" racist? No. Is being singled out for bad grammar racist, no. Haejin has dealt a fair share of insults himself. Neither his insults nor the insults from others are truly relevant to this war.

You clearly do not understand the reward pool and how the rewards garnered by one post negatively impact the rewards of all other posts. Maybe you should revisit the white paper and the hundreds of posts that have been created over the last year and a half trying to explain the FINITE daily reward pool so you can better understand why people are so upset with one person garnering a huge share of the rewards.

You talk about trying to reason with people. "The Other Side" has attempted to reason REPEATEDLY with Haejin to no effect. He was asked to reduce his posting volume from 10+ posts a day to 3-4 in an effort to stabilize the reward imbalance. This would put him in the ballpark of say, Jerry Banfield for post production and reward basis. People would likely stop complaining at that point.

But by continuing to post at such a high volume, Haejin shows a blatant disregard for anyone else on this platform. Including yourself, who came to his defense and was not upvoted.

We're all for people learning, and if you take value from what Haejin is offering, that is great. But we do not feel he needs to post 10 times a day with redundant information that you could just as easily get from Twitter.

Speaking to the Racism, it has been premised on a multitude of occasions that Haejin is not Asian at all. In fact, with a little bit of digging one can find that the picture that circles STEEM as being Haejin's profile picture is actually a screen image of actor Seo In Guk from a program called The King's Face. Check it out Here: All Pop, The King's Face Premiere. So to call those who are opposed to his actions racist when he could be red black white tan or a purple monster for all we know is a bit disingenuous.

Good luck making money from his charts though. I's easy to make calls in a Bull market, and we are coming up on the precipice of Bull Market now, so I expect his calls will be good for a time. But I also expect my calls to be pretty good too, and I use a dart board with a picture of @dougpolkcrypto surrounded by Cashtags and buy whatever the dart gets closest too.
