Pada hari ini, Sabtu 17 November 2018 tepatnya jam delapan pagi waktu Indonesia barat, musibah banjir kembali terjadi di sekitar daerah aliran sungai pasee tepatnya di desa kumbang kecamatan Syamtalira Aron.

Pada awalnya, volume air melebihi kapasitas tanggul yang memiliki ketinggian lebih dari lima meter dari badan jalan desa.kemudian air terus naik dan akhirnya volume air yang semakin membesar membuat tanggul roboh dan akhirnya air banjir deras pun tak dapat dihindari.

Menurut pemantauan saya,hingga saat ini semua penduduk desa belum dapat berbuat banyak walaupun sudah melakukan beberapa langkah penutupan saluran air yang naik.namun semua itu sia-sia dan air tidak dapat dibendung.hingga saat ini,air deras setinggi dua meter telah merobohkan dua rumah warga,tiang listrik dan beberapa pohon besar telah tumbang.

Hampir seluruh rumah warga telah terendam banjir dan hingga saat ini belum dapat hingga sore hari,alat berat untuk menyumbat aliran air deras dari sungai Belum juga didatangkan dan warga mengungsi ke balai desa untuk mendapatkan tempat berlindung dari derasnya banjir kali ini.
