Should there be more strict laws about acquiring a gun?

Peace begins with a smile.

First of all, my heart remains with those who lost their loved ones in the recent attack at Las Vegas.

Read this article to know what exactly happened.

It is really a sad event for all of humanity.

After reading that article I found that the laws regarding ammunition in Nevada is the most lenient in all of USA.

People are allowed to carry weapons and do not have to register themselves as gun owners.

Criminal record checks are done before selling but they also have to option to sell privately.

Having an unregistered weapon which is capable of causing lethal damage to someone doesn't sound right at all.

Could it be one of the reason of the terror attack? I don't know and I'm not the right judge for it.

But I do believe that having a more strict law might prevent another such incident from happening.

I'm gonna wrap it up with a saying that goes

A stitch in time saves nine.

Thanks for reading. Peace✌.

In Australia, we had a terrible mass shooting in 1996. A man gunned down many tourists and locals using a variety of guns.

Shortly after this shooting the gun laws were changed and it became illegal to own certain types of weapon. My family personally handed in a large selection of guns to the government, who paid us for every single one of them. We actually received more money for our guns than what we paid for them.

Since this change to our legislation, Australia hasn't had a single mass shooting. To be honest, we look upon what is happening in America with great sadness. These shootings could be prevented, if America would stop loving their right to own guns so much.

It's good to hear that Australia didn't have any such attack after revising the law regarding guns.
What happened in America is terrible. I hope they at least consider about changing the law.

Its a hard situation, if gun laws are more strict then people will find another way to get them and that could pose a problem or bad people may resort to other methods to do the deeds with out guns.

I agree but wouldn't it be easier to do such things if the weapons are readily available? Also just making strict laws won't end it entirely, there should be better security measures too.
