End of Net Neutrality
So it looks like the Net Neutrality will be ended in the US as of tomorrow I believe, and people are freaking out, and are almost behaving like toddlers who are peeing in their diapers.
I am here to put some sense back into people. Net neutrality is nonsense, at least the legislative part of it is. Whether you think there should be neutrality in the internet or not, that is a big debate, but regardless it should not be done through legislation.
So the ending of the Net Neutrality legislation is good. But of course tell this to Big Government shills, who have a literal fetish for tyranny....
This is exactly what I was talking about in my past 2 articles, in my political compass, I specifically described how the left is getting subverted by Big Government shills.
The left, the libertarian left, which strives for equality, but through non-coercive non-violent means like blockchains, open source software, and so on.... they are getting subverted by totalitarian Big Government shills or perhaps useful idiots who don't know any better, in order to push the left back into Stalinism:
Every single fucking solution to these people is Big Government. They just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel because they are blinded by their own totalitarian fetishes.
So is net neutrality in principle good? I don't know. There is spam and more intensive resource consumption like playing a video game... so it can be argued...
What I’m certain of is that it’s definitely not good if it's enforced by the Government. The use of force is despicable by the 21 century with a so called "enlightened" population.

Exactly, you can't rely on politicians. You never could. You never will. Name only one thing that the Government did that was good, I bet you can't name anything.
The Government never does anything useful, nothing that can’t be done voluntarily and more transparently, and as long as people believe in a savior coming down from the sky and saving them, as long will people live in misery and getting exploited by others.
People have to realize that they have to save themselves, from tyranny. But this obedient beggar slave mentality is very disgusting.
If you think NN is good, then you should support a decentralized internet to begin with, perhaps without middlemen ISP's controlling it, like meshnets.
Otherwise stop begging to your master like a slave. You are not a slave are you?

Thank you sincerely for writing this. Leaving these determinations to people who by default are hostile to market solutions is not an option.
I'm still a bit anxious that they'll just put the same rules in somewhere else and maybe we'll have another confused "look what horrible happened thing happened"-backlash.
But as long as we keep working, I'm sure we can overcome these potential issues.
Yes the progressive lobby is very annoying. They are the reason why taxes are over 80% in Europe. They should better shut up about "solutions". All they bring is misery.
Politicians and corporations both leave us wanting. Just like with most elections, the population is pretty much playing a game of "who will screw us less?" whenever they take sides in a big debate like this.
We need to figure out who will screw us less.
In this case, it looks like both a large number of politicians and major corporations are pushing to have net neutrality defeated.
My questions would be:
Would the defeat of net neutrality be good or bad for those mining or trading currency?
Would crypto trading sites, wallets, or sites like Steemit be impacted positively or negatively from it?
Depends on the culture of the ISP corporate sector. I think the issue has been overly exagerrated. Most countries don't have NN legislation, yet the internet works just fine.
Countries who that have active government involvement in the internet are: North Korea, China and many Arab countries.
So I ask you, is it really such a bad thing to get rid of the government from the internet.
And even if the corporations decide to screw people over with tailored web packages, that will be the wake-up call for people to go into decentralization even more.
At the end of the day it's a massive shift towards libertarianism either directly or from a reactonary perspective.
Relying on the government is never a good idea.

It may be but people have to realize that any political solution is useless, this may be a wake up call to people who have been relying on others who are unreliable. People should do things themselves.
Good point. For non-programmers like me, I guess the best option is to support projects that are working towards a decentralized internet.

Hear hear, Net Neutrality is bull. Nothing ever happened. It's just more legislation which they can use to screw us over. The Free Market is not regulated. Right now, ISPs compete wildly for our business. The less legislation the better.
