With the global debt total shooting north of $200 trillion in recent years, there is an important question we must ask: how is the debt going to be paid off?

In the U.S. the headline debt number of the federal government is swiftly approaching $20 trillion dollars with unfunded liabilities sitting somewhere just north of $150 trillion dollars.

People are often all too willing to suggest a quick fix to the system and how it can be glued back together, but these solutions usually never consider paying off or stifling the continuation of debt by their government. It would also be rare to hear a solution that addresses the role of central banks in this perpetual debt scheme playing out worldwide.
