Can we trust the Inspector General to investigate FISA abuse

in #news6 years ago

Remember when the Deep State hacked an Emmy award winning investigative journalist's computers and was caught red handed.  Sharyl Attkisson's had written stories unfavorable to the Obama administration and according to TownHall.com:

her computer was hacked into by “a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”
The spyware included programs that Attkisson says monitored her every keystroke and gave the snoops access to all her e-mails and the passwords to her financial accounts.
“The intruders discovered my Skype account handle, stole the password, activated the audio, and made heavy use of it, presumably as a listening tool”

Politico has a stunning video she took with her cellphone of one apparent hack. The video shows words being deleted from her files without her control.

So think about it.

If the Deep State is hacking into Americans computers and changing/deleting files, how can we trust the accuracy of any evidence they collect. We have to ask this question not just in relation to Sharyl Atkinson, but all the other "political" investigation including the Russian Collusion investigation and the FISA abuse investigation.

But it get worse.

The Hill is now reporting that Sharyl turned her computer over to the Justice Dept Inspector General (yes the same one investigating FISA Abuse) and while they had it, they swapped the hard drive out without telling her.

I asked the IG to examine one of my personal home computers that was compromised.
(After it was returned, her forensics team said) that’s not your hard drive inside the computer they gave back to you,” they told me. “… We know the serial number on the hard drive when you bought it. We recorded the same serial number on our earlier forensics exams. This is a different hard drive. Completely different serial number. Not even close.”

 Sharyl says:

  • in addition to somebody changing the scope of the IG investigation midstream, and
  • the office withholding from me the notes and the report on my own complaint,
  • somebody also switched out my hard drive before the IG returned it to me.

What does all this mean to the integrity of the DOJ’s inspector general?

This question has special significance as we debate if we need a second Special Counsel to look into the Clinton's and FISA abuse or if the Inspector General is able to do it.

Now we also need to ask - can the Inspector General be trusted?

Can we trust the Inspector General to investigate FISA abuse

In a word - no.

He doesn't even have prosecutorial powers, and moves at the speed of rock going uphill.

Sessions is the same waste of space. Radical action is needed.

I think people are getting majorly impatient.

So I see you are a fan of AG Sessions :-)
