The youth team of Ukraine on baseball has for the first time won the European championship, having beaten team of Russia in final.

On August 4 the Ukrainian youth team has won against Russians with the score 7:5 final game As the press service of Federation of baseball and softball of Ukraine reports.

It is known that the other day the International Olympic Committee has made the decision to include baseball in the program of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

"Recognition of this sport Olympic means that exactly the baseball national team can become basis of our Olympic team at the following Games. Persistent work and due support will help Ukraine to realize the huge opportunities and in this sport" — the president of Federation of baseball and softball of Ukraine Andrey Nikolayenko notes.
