I googled it, looks like you also get an average of about 40 inches. For us when it rains, it pours. I think in your case it's lighter but more consistent. We have the downpours followed by days of sun.

Hehe, no, its nowhere near as bad obvs but it feels like it when it is grey and wet all the time!
