No kidding! That's about the average amount of rainfall in NY for an entire year, and we're not a droughty dry place!

I googled it, looks like you also get an average of about 40 inches. For us when it rains, it pours. I think in your case it's lighter but more consistent. We have the downpours followed by days of sun.
