My ex husband worked for a patient co-op in San Francisco. Saw firsthand how cannabis helped the ill. My ex's grandmother had lung cancer, and used cannabis (in the form of a crumbled up cookie) to extend her life by six months. Without the cannabis, she would have died easily from side effects of the chemotherapy (being unable to keep anything down)... after seeing it firsthand, and knowing the pharmaceutical companies make Marinol (hey, so if weed isn't medicinal, then why would Big Pharma make a weed replacement?) it seems cruel to deprive those in need with unnecessary bureaucratic bullshit. Time's precious; who know how long someone has to live?

Very glad this federal judge is open-minded (and hopefully not bought off).
