Federal Judge Declares Cannabis Is Medicine
In a high profile case I mentioned the other day, a landmark moment happened for US cannabis history.
Federal Judge stated he needs more time to review the case because its obvious these patients are alive because cannabis works.
The lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of the controlled substance is act which classifies cannabis as a schedule one drug. The lawsuit claims that this is so irrational it violates the US Constitution.
Other claims in the suit are that the controlled substance is act was in acted and implemented in order to discriminate against African-Americans and to suppress peoples first amendment rights, also violating patients constitutional right to travel.

My ex husband worked for a patient co-op in San Francisco. Saw firsthand how cannabis helped the ill. My ex's grandmother had lung cancer, and used cannabis (in the form of a crumbled up cookie) to extend her life by six months. Without the cannabis, she would have died easily from side effects of the chemotherapy (being unable to keep anything down)... after seeing it firsthand, and knowing the pharmaceutical companies make Marinol (hey, so if weed isn't medicinal, then why would Big Pharma make a weed replacement?) it seems cruel to deprive those in need with unnecessary bureaucratic bullshit. Time's precious; who know how long someone has to live?

drugs should be banned worldwide
A drug is a drug.
Many drugs are plant based, one of the first "modern" drugs was called bayer, found as acetylsalicylic acid in the bark of the willow tree, though its use is described thousands of years ago. Later, that drug became so successful in reducing fever, pain and inflammation, the German manufacturer renamed its company after the drug, becoming Bayer AG. More recently, Bayer lost its patent to the name they coined, Aspirin, and today aspirin is found world wide, is produced by many, and has helped tens of millions over the years, even literally saving lives of both adults and children.
