As a society, we should all defend the right of every single individual to make decisions for themselves - and not make that decision in their place and stead.
Embracing a culture, where Celine Dion types of celebrities can make decisions for people who are not yet developed to make decisions on their own, in direct conflict with DNA, is destructive to humanity.
Instead - we should all go by DNA until that individual makes a decision for themselves to the alternative. That doesn't mean shoving gender identity down a kid's throat - but it means stepping back and letting that kid decide for themselves. That's how you honor the liberty of the individual.
